The Senator’s Broken Promise

In The Senator's Broken Promise, Wm. Richard Kremer delivers a sweeping Southern gothic thriller steeped in politics, race, and moral reckoning. When nearly centenarian Senator Will Bung-an unrepentant segregationist and consummate political survivor-receives a chilling threat, it sets off a chain of events that reverberate from the power corridors of Washington to the haunted backroads of South Carolina. A mysterious killing, a fallen football star, and a small-town pastor's search for truth intertwine in a narrative that exposes buried sins and broken oaths spanning generations. As past and present collide, the line between justice and vengeance blurs, forcing the living to answer for the promises the dead could not keep. Gripping, provocative, and darkly lyrical, The Senator's Broken Promise explores the cost of power and the price of redemption in the modern American South.
