the Secrets of Enoch: 2 Enoch — Slavonic Book

Long before the Flood, the patriarch Enoch was carried up through the ten heavens to stand before the very throne of God - and what he saw there was written down. 2 Enoch, the Slavonic Book of the Secrets of Enoch, is a breathtaking journey through the layers of heaven: the storehouses of the snow and the fire, the angels who govern the stars and the seasons, the Garden of Eden waiting in the third heaven, and the making of the world told in God's own voice. Returned to earth with only thirty days to teach his sons all he had learned, Enoch pours out wisdom on righteousness, judgment, and the life to come before he is taken up forever. Long hidden and known only through a handful of ancient manuscripts, this complete edition brings one of the most extraordinary visionary texts ever written to the modern reader, with commentary throughout. Essential reading for anyone drawn to the lost scriptures, apocalyptic vision, and the deep mysteries of heaven.
