The Rose Possessed

It's a book that is not shy about its ambitions to begin a revolution, and she just might get it! Her first poem, "The Seedling," is the initial bite that begins all the rest.When you read this poem, you know it's going to stand the test of time. It'll be an archeologist's dream.The seedling lifts her teeny, tiny face to the giants that deny her the sunshine's grace and asks in a voice so sweet, so shy, "What is the sun? What is the sky? Would you let me see it please, before I shrivel up and die?"A mighty tree looks down in disdain at the little sprout that cried for rain.
