The Rocket

The Rocket is a playful and thought-provoking children's picture book by Louise Mc Girr, blending imagination with interactive storytelling. Originally created as an animated short for her final-year project at Atlantic Technological University, this story has been reimagined as a unique book experience where illustrations spring to life through QR codes and eBook links. At its heart, The Rocket explores the wonder of seeing the world from above. From this higher perspective, children catch glimpses into the everyday lives of different people, gently reminding readers that while everyone lives their own story, we are all connected in meaningful ways. With a mix of colorful illustrations and interactive animation, The Rocket encourages curiosity, empathy, and imagination. Perfect for shared storytime or independent exploration, it invites children to read, watch, and wonder all at once.
