the Remembrance of Thistle Blossom

In the rugged Scottish Highlands, a wounded young woman is found wandering alone, unable to remember who she is or how she came to be so brutally injured. Rescued by Ian MacLeod and brought to the keep of his laird, Jonathan MacLeod, she finds herself surrounded by unfamiliar faces, ancient rivalries, and a world ruled by clan loyalty and the sword.Jonathan is a formidable Highland laird, hardened by war and burdened by the responsibility of protecting his people. Yet the mysterious woman awakens something in him that he has long kept buried. As she slowly recovers, fragments of her past begin to return, revealing a connection to a life she cannot yet fully understand and a name she has almost forgotten: Cheri. While Jonathan and Cheri are drawn increasingly toward one another, the conflict between the MacLeod and MacDonnell clans threatens to engulf them. Raids, betrayal, battles, and old grievances force Jonathan to confront enemies both on his lands and within his own heart. As Cheri's memories resurface, the danger surrounding her becomes increasingly personal.Set against the dramatic landscape of Renaissance-era Scotland, The Remembrance of the Thistle Blossom blends Highland romance, clan warfare, mystery, and adventure into a story about identity, loyalty, courage, and a love that seems to reach across the boundaries of memory and time. The novel draws upon the author's lifelong immersion in Renaissance history and living-history performance, giving its world a distinctive connection between historical imagination and lived experience.
