The Reckoning!: A Tale of Self-Quarantine

Julian Wolfe has been in hiding. After a public disgrace, the tv journalist drops off the radar for a decade, speaking to no one except a mysterious homeless man, and his oldest friend. But he has kept busy, prepping. When, in 2020, the specter of a pandemic suddenly appears on the horizon, Julian Wolfe is suddenly aware it is the time he had prepared for; obscurely called to action, he embarks on a secret quest to deliver a mysterious package. But his journey home goes south in every sense. He travels from New York City to the capitol of the Confederacy, in Richmond, Virginia. His paranoia arouses the suspicions of those he trusts. The package falls into the wrong hands. He is taken captive. He finds his home is overrun by an intruder. He is hounded along the way not only by those who would seek to take him down, but by his own mind, and the ghosts of the past. And when his mysterious mission is finally revealed to him, he loses touch with his reason, no longer comprehending how to complete his mystical task. His success will depend on whether he can face the present, and the future, squarely.
