Updated and expanded from the previously titled The Last Toqeph, this book is the 4th in the Christian sci-fi "Gateway to Gannah" series. As heir to the throne of Gannah, Adam must become a Nasi knight before he's qualified to rule. He feels up to the task as he pursues the rigorous training required, but there's always a question niggling in the back of his mind: though he'll likely achieve the Nasi knighthood, can he be fit to sit on Gannah's throne, since the blood of their ancient enemies flows through his veins?While traveling through desolate terrain on the Second Quest of his Nasi training, Adam stumbles upon an even greater impossibility: a village of Old Gannahans who'd survived both the Karkar Plague a generation ago, and the more recent Great Disaster that altered the face of the whole planet. Everybody knows there are no Old Gannahans left, so their existence is hard to believe.
