The Photographs Remember: Behind Ragged Net Curtains

Some photographs capture a moment. Others refuse to let it die. When nineteen-year-old Ellie discovers a faded 1957 staff photograph hidden in a book box outside a decaying cottage on Soundwell Road, touching the glass drags her into the moment it preserved. The past is not a memory. It is a trap-and someone inside it can see her. At Blackberry Hill Hospital, two children vanished, terrified patients were ignored, and respectable Dr Alvar Bisted kept his hands clean while others carried the blame. With each photograph Ellie enters, the dead reveal another fragment: blood beneath fingernails, wrong shoes, locked doors and a blue ribbon concealed in a medical bag. But Bisted remembers every visit. And the closer Ellie comes to the truth, the more dangerous the photographs become. >A dark, disturbing supernatural horror novel about forgotten victims, institutional cruelty and images that remember what people chose to bury.
