The Person of Christ

With the rise of Liberal theology in his day and age, Schaff sought to redefine and bring back thinking into a Biblical light about the Person of Jesus Christ. Many seminaries and schools in his time were seeking to demythologize the person of Christ and make Him out not to be as supernatural as the Evangelical church has been teaching for years. Schaff in this work disproves the humanizing of Christ and brings back into focus the true divinity of Christ and the reality that He did perform miracles while on this earth. In the course of his treatment of Christ, Schaff also tackles the philosophies that brought on this thinking to disprove the Liberalism that has been plaguing the church for many years and bring it back to the truth that is taught all throughout the scriptures.
