The Passenger: A Long Journey to Nowhere

On a normal early Sunday morning, a train pulls into New York City. After all the passengers have left, one remains. It is a young woman, that at first is thought to be a possible drug overdose. But she isn't. She's just heavily sedated. When she awakens, she says her name is Michelle Robbins, that she is transgender. When she tells an unbelievable story, Sergeant Deborah Patton of the elite NYPD Special Victims Unit is called in to investigate. At first Sergeant Patton has her doubts, but as she investigates, Michelle's story begins to ring more and more true. A story that not only strikes close to home, but has international implications as well. The investigation brings out powerful forces trying to silence Michelle. Forces that place her and her love ones into danger, and adds to her trauma. Forces that are willing to go to extreme measures, even murder if necessary to hide the truth and keep their secrets. To complicate matters, Sergeant Patton finds herself drawn to Michelle for reasons, she can't reveal. Reasons that not only causes conflicts with the investigation, but will put not only her, but her own family and career into jeopardy. Thus is the case that will not only reel the highest levels of the NYPD and the FBI, but will put light into how we view ourselves and are viewed by others.
