The Ones We Love

The Ones We Love is a gentle picture book intended for anyone confronting grief, from a very young child to an adult of any age. When a loved one passes away, the quiet embrace of nature can comfort us if we just stop, look and listen. Through soft, hand-painted watercolor illustrations and few words, The Ones We Love takes the reader on a thoughtful and sensitive journey of navigating loss. With her faithful bunny beside her, a child experiences the healing touch of nature. Hope arrives, followed by faith, and ultimately assurance in the spiritual enormity of all that surrounds us. Even when they are gone, our loved one's love is always with us. The idea for this story came to the author in a quiet moment of reflection, upon the loss of her own beloved mother. It is her greatest hope that it can bring comfort to others faced with the loss of a loved one.
