Bol Some walls are built of stone. The ones that hold are built of people. A generation has passed since Einharn was carried home on the valkyrie's hands. His son Sigurd holds the seat now, and the peace his father bled for has lasted long enough that there are children in Grimvik who have never known a burned town. It has never been richer, or freer, or more its own. Far to the south, a young king has looked north and counted. He finds on the edge of his kingdom a free town he can neither rule nor forgive - old gods and new under one roof, beholden to no crown, grown strong on a coast a king once believed he had given away. He will not send a raid. He will send a war, and call it holy, and bring the whole weight of a kingdom to break one stubborn shore. But a town is not a man, and cannot be killed by killing one. What Einharn built, he built into other people: a son who must learn to hold what he was handed, a widow who remembers everything, two faiths that have quietly become one, forty years of small kindnesses owed in both directions. And when the crown's holy iron finally comes ashore, Grimvik will learn what all of it was worth - on the one morning it needs to be worth everything. No villains. No glorious wars. Only a people who were told what they were permitted to be, and answered, under one sky, that they would go on being themselves. Two faiths. Two peoples. One sky - and a home that will not be unmade. ONE SKY is the final book of THE NORTH REMEMBERS.
