The Mystic II

Dr. Raghav returned to India from US nursing a dream of working for the poor, but inadvertently he finds himself entangled in a government conspiracy for having been pro-leftist during his college days in India. Wanting to erase all traces of him the government had him ambushed in an anti-Maoist encounter. But after long ten years Raghav woke up from an induced coma in a remote government facility. Despite the shock, he managed to escape but the gap of years had created a blank in his mind that he desperately wanted to reconstruct. With the help of old friends he successfully executed a counter attack on that particular facility and unearthed hidden secrets about a strange machine that not only has a unique database but could also peer into the future. With the help of this machine he constructed a weapon of mass destruction. Raghav has a string of adversaries in his quest for truth - Christina an American reporter who is the secret agent of a think tank, Col. Chauhan of the Special Forces, and Dr. Chaurasia a religious guru with political clout. Raghav successfully tackled the media, military muscles and politico-religious clout in his fight. But his success was at a price - something he realized at the end. He had become a monster and there was no going back on the weapon of mass destruction. Inspired by the legend surrounding the Empty Burial Chamber from the Shaolin temple he worked out the final solution. In the end he together with the machine became the MYSTIC.
