The Mountains Remember

In the shadowed mountains of 8th-century Iberia, as the last embers of the Visigothic kingdom fade, a forgotten people rise. The Mountain Remembers tells the story of a fractured land reclaiming its voice through grit, sacrifice, and memory. From shepherd boys to battle-scarred veterans, healers to priests, each character faces a reckoning between survival and legacy. At the heart of it all stands Pelayo-a reluctant leader who never sought a crown but becomes the spark of rebellion against overwhelming forces.Blending lyrical prose with visceral action, this historical novel explores faith, betrayal, and the forging of a kingdom from ruin. Rich in atmosphere and grounded in emotional truth, it is a story of what we choose to remember-and what we must become to endure.
