The Morris Family

Meet the Morris Family and join Leo, Alvin, Mom, Dad, their pets, and Grandad on a collection of funny, playful, and sometimes surprising family adventures. From LEGO buildings and football to cats, dogs, chickens, airplanes, beaches, sandcastles, music, and trips to Florida, The Morris Family turns everyday family life into an adventure that young readers can explore.Leo and his little brother Alvin discover what it means to grow up together, spend time with grandparents, explore new places, and find something interesting almost everywhere they go. Along the way, children are invited to participate by answering questions, counting things in the pictures, thinking about their own families, and imagining what they would do.The adventure continues when the family visits Grandad and Aunt Lori in Central Florida. Readers encounter forests, farms, animals, lakes, beaches, glass-bottom boats, alligators, chickens, horses, and some of Florida's best-known family attractions. But there's an important twist: not everything in the story is supposed to be taken literally! Some of the family's adventures are silly and imaginative, while a special section at the end introduces readers to real places around Florida. The Morris Family is a fun read-aloud picture book for children and families who enjoy family adventures, animals, travel, humor, and discovering the world around them.
