The Ministry of Reproduction

Compliance is law. Rebellion is optional. When The Ministry of Reproduction rejects Nic's application to have a baby for the third time, she's devastated, certain that her dream of starting a family is over. But then she hears rumours about an underground movement of rebels determined to fight back against the UK government's tyranny. They run secret pregnancy clinics, deliver babies, and smuggle children to safety, offering hope to the unchosen ones. It seems like her prayers have been answered, and she's desperate enough to consider it. But it's dangerous, fatal even, because it's not just a prison sentence Nic is facing. People are disappearing, snatched from their beds in the middle of the night, taken away as punishment for breaking the law. Now Nic must decide; give up her dream and surrender to the Ministry, or take a stand and risk losing everything.
