The Mercer Files: Blood and Benediction

This audiobook is narrated by a digital voice. CASE FILE 5 — BLOOD AND BENEDICTION A missing priest. A stolen holy relic. Two criminal families. And Frank Mercer caught in the middle. Father Malone drinks too much, gambles too often and owes money to exactly the kind of men you shouldn’t owe money to. Frank is hired to find him. Then somebody starts shooting. Malone disappears, a legendary religious relic known as The Halo of Saint Lucius vanishes with him, and suddenly every gangster in New Alderidge seems willing to spill blood to possess something supposedly touched by heaven. Frank doesn’t put much faith in miracles. But he knows greed when he sees it. With bullets flying, bodies appearing and a mob war threatening to ignite, Frank has to find the priest and uncover the truth behind the Halo before faith becomes just another reason to kill. Blood and Benediction is a hard-boiled noir mystery about faith, corruption, redemption and the price people put on salvation. Frank’s never been particularly good at passing the collection plate, so buying an audiobook will have to do. Visit Mercer Investigations: Get Series One in full:
