Bol The Machine That Was Meant to Carry Me follows a man who flies over a guarded gate in a military jet and enters a strange, frightening building. Deep inside, he discovers a mysterious flying disc that responds to him. Although he successfully makes it fly, fear causes him to step off and carry it instead. The machine begins breaking apart and disappears from his hands. When he returns to search for it, it is gone. The experience teaches him that certain gifts are not meant to be controlled or carried like burdens-they are meant to lift and carry us.The book is about entering the unknown, discovering your hidden abilities, overcoming self-doubt, and trusting yourself long enough to learn how to fly.
