There was a man, middle-aged, who lived in a particular settlement called Ayiloju who was renowned for valour and intrepidity even with his fame spread across nearby villages due to his physique. By virtue of the king of the land where he lived made him the head of the sentinel watch. But unfortunately something broke out and which he could barely resign himself to-he was banished from the land, with no recoup, neither propitiation nor appeal. Yet he owned up to nothing but just for misdeed he was not in for, just that the canard came to the king's hearing that this man connives at a secret intrigue to have the incumbent king deposed. Then banishment came, on a day brewing with fury. Sooner or later the king regretted for his rash action, attributing his slip-up to the divinities of the land as this ultimately led to the land's utter undoing. This man on which the narrative centres moped for most of his days, dejected trying pretty hard to have himself reconciled to his fate only for him to know it was just engagement between him and the gods, and that the gods were not yet done with him. This made him malign the gods while in exile, mentally perturbed yet not knowing what to do for the divinities' appeasement. Upon his arrival after a number of years, something tragic happened as the land, perhaps to him, had infuriated the gods seeing the land having experienced something downfall from grace. Scarcely could he even accept that the ruins ensued from a clash between the land and nearby settlement. This made him more sullen, adding devastations to his already mounted loss, for him to know the gods were actually in his favour not as he thought times afore. In the wake of this, still having to bear, he embarked upon an extensive but difficult odyssey to the forests just to kill and plunder only for survival. Meanwhile, something timeless happened while he returned during the dead of the night.
