Elsie rested her head on her hands as she stared at the pile of library books on the old white table. It had been nearly six hours since she first arrived at the old and rather strange library on the outskirts of town, and her intellect level hadn't grown any greater. Why was she like this? Why did her brain refuse to absorb the information? Growing up, she had watched her older siblings coast through school and acquire degrees with relative ease. Elsie, however, would regularly find herself in arguments due to her sudden outbursts.
