The Last Shore: 1

The Last Shore >Eirik is a Danish farmer, not a warrior. When he leaves Denmark and crosses the North Sea, he expects nothing more than a chance to build a new life. Instead, he finds himself in a land where Saxon and Dane live uneasily alongside one another, where old loyalties are tested, and where friendship can matter more than the ties people were born into. Taken into the service of a Saxon lord. Eirik begins to find his place in an unfamiliar world. Along the way he meets men who become brothers, a young Saxon woman who chooses to leave everything she knows behind, and one remarkable dog who becomes part of a family no one expected to form. But the world around them is changing .As old enemies become companions and strangers become family, Eirik is drawn into a journey far greater than the one he began. A journey shaped not by kings or great battles, but by the choices of ordinary people trying to survive, belong, and protect those they have come to love. The Last Shore is a story of loyalty, loss, friendship and the family we choose
