For once everything is great with the O'Flanagan clan and times are good for the business and home. The new grandchild for Rory and Rosey brings particular joy. While outside the family there is much consternation about endings and new beginnings for many. Jonas is discovered on the run, huis wife asks Sargent Bethany for help and this being Siobhan's last case in the village. In Dublin Shamus assists in a criminal case for a barrister and sees inside a court for the first time outside academia. Sally at the same time is preparing for her first stage debut - however their seems to be a price being ask by the producer she cannot pay? Another actress (Janet) she discovers she is replacing has been sent to the Nuns pregnant out of wedlock.Jonas turns out in 1929 was an informer to the IRA and when things got to dangerous moved to Tralee before the 1935 riots in Belfast to be far away from those who he betrayed. When strangers came to the pub asking if anyone knew of him, he realised his past was catching up to him. Bethany confronts the IRA man in the village and then goes to Belfast for evidence despite how dangerous that might be in late 1930's Ireland.
