Bol The Hunter of the Dead - and the Kiss of Persephone - is an erotic, epic retelling of the myth of Hades and Persephone that goes far beyond their origins. A petty act of malice by Zeus leads to a fateful encounter between Persephone and Hades beside a golden meadow. Persephone becomes Queen of the Underworld and the spirit of spring's rebirth. Their union is tested by her attraction to Dionysus and threatened by the fateful consequences when a foul entity, Upir Likyi, escapes from the underworld and becomes Vampyr. Upir Likyi seeks to destroy Hades and the world of the living itself, so Hades, the hunter of the living, becomes the Hunter of the Dead.
