The House of Cassian

Kilgaren Cassian was ten years old when the world he knew was destroyed. His father, Bard, was executed for refusing to bow to a cruel servant of the Crown. His mother was murdered. His home was burned to the ground. Along with his twin brother Martin, Kilgaren escaped with only their father's sword, a handful of surviving poems, and a promise: Justice would one day be served. Under the guidance of the legendary swordsman Garrick, Kilgaren grows from a frightened orphan into a formidable warrior. Martin chooses another path, serving the kingdom while remaining at his brother's side. But the years reveal that their family's destruction was only part of something much larger. Political intrigue, ambitious nobles, rival kingdoms, and shifting alliances push Hillbrought toward war. As the brothers become caught in the struggle, they discover that the same corruption that destroyed their family threatens to destroy the kingdom itself. Twenty years after the burning of their home, Kilgaren finally faces the man responsible. The sword in his hand is his father's. The promise is still unfinished. And the choice before him is no longer simply whether to take revenge. It is whether he can honor the man his father wanted him to become. THE HOUSE OF CASSIAN is an epic medieval saga of family, honor, loss, courage, war, redemption, and the price of keeping a promise.
