This study investigates the role of the reader in the exegesis of passages on the Holy Spirit in Luke and Acts. Using a model of Umberto Eco, the author examines how three writers from different denominational backgrounds – Max M.B. Turner, Robert P. Menzies and William S. Kurz – are personally involved in the interpretation of these passages.
