Bol Alan Rich is dead. Unfortunately, that's the least of his problems. After arriving in the afterlife, Alan discovers that eternal peace apparently involves waiting rooms, numbered tickets, irritating regulations and a compulsory new career in haunting. There's just one problem: Alan hasn't got the faintest idea how to be a ghost. His first attempts at haunting are spectacularly unsuccessful, and his unfortunate habit of speaking before thinking doesn't improve matters. Then there's Godfrey, the retired God who now runs the haunting department, doesn't particularly believe in himself and originally thought he was applying for a job as a gardener. But when Alan's supernatural assignment leads him to a struggling farming family, an unusually perceptive dog called Baz and Tamson, a fellow haunter who has been dead considerably longer than she'd care to admit, his afterlife begins to develop a purpose he never expected. And then Reverend Green arrives. Convinced that the farm has an unwanted spiritual presence, the local vicar has exorcism on his mind and Alan and Tamson suddenly discover that being dead doesn't necessarily mean they're out of danger. Packed with ghosts, supernatural mishaps, outrageous conversations and irreverent observations about life, death, religion and everything in between, The Haunt Jaunt is a distinctly British supernatural comedy about discovering that the afterlife can be every bit as confusing as the life you left behind. Because for Alan Rich, being dead was the easy part.
