The Habanos Taster

Dantes Cruz, a Cuban-French author of fifty books on havana cigars, has never dared cross the line that separates those who talk about tobacco from those who judge it. Until the day he walks through the doors of the Tobacco Research Institute in San Antonio de los Banos, Cuba, to face the most demanding training of his life: becoming a professional havana taster. Under the unforgiving guidance of Yasser, a mentor who cheated death and rebuilt his sense of smell through sheer willpower, Dantes discovers that tasting is no mere sensory exercise. It is a philosophy. Every puff is a battle against doubt. Every parameter evaluated is a lesson in applied Stoicism. Every cigar rejected is an act of courage. The Havana Taster is an immersive novel where fiction embraces Cuban tobacco culture with rare intensity. Through trials of palate and soul, Edo Cruz delivers a vibrant tale about the price of truth, the courage to judge, and the art of living every moment as if it were the last. For havana lovers. For free spirits. For those who refuse almost.
