The Great Fruitbat Hunt

The Hunt for the Fruitbat, Lono Fructus Vespertilio begins as a young journalist "Jack Blanchette" is met by Orion and sent on a wild quest emulating the rise of the legend of Lono, all culminating in key west.Jack slowly realizes the hunt isn't really about fruit bats at all. It's about Lono; his legend, his psychic vampirism, his gravitational pull that drags everyone around him into myth. Orion tries to keep the cosmic balance, Jack tries to stay sane, and Lono... Lono just laughs, feeding on the psychic static of the chaos he creates.By the end, the fruitbats are almost incidental. The real hunt is for meaning, identity, and survival in the wake of a living psychic vampire who treats reality like a flexible suggestion. The Great Fruitbat Hunt becomes a psychedelic odyssey; part comedy, part horror, part spiritual meltdown; where the crew discovers that madness isn't a destination. It's the fuel.
