The Gift of Serenity

Once Miguel, the protagonist of this moving story, manages to rise from the ashes and achieve sobriety, there's nothing that can make him fall again. The narrative transparency of "The Gift of Serenity" is the greatest virtue of this small book, presented as a journey through the life of a man wounded by his dependence on alcohol."The Gift of Serenity of an Anonymous Alcoholic" is the result of Ángel's experience as a counselor in an alcohol rehabilitation center during the 1980s. The work (which transcribes many conversations with the protagonist) tells us about the trials and continuous hardships of an alcoholic, Miguel B.-a man who, with the help of Alcoholics Anonymous, was able to achieve sobriety and, with it, serenity and the rediscovery of his full human condition.
