Bol On a quiet stretch of Dal Lake, an old houseboat holds several undelivered letters written by a man who never sent them. When Meher, a young journalist from Lahore, in search of answers, tries to find him by traveling to Srinagar, she begins to piece together a harrowing story of loss hidden in fragments and fading ink. Abdul is a quiet, solitary man, who spent decades composing letters to a woman named Tahira. After getting familiar about the city, Meher wonders why did Abdul keep those letters preserved and what kept him waiting for all those years after Tahira's reasoned departure from Kashmir. Are all goodbyes final? Can words bridge years of silence and distance? Can they heal an individual or can they merely numb a person to the traumas of the past? Set against the backdrop of late 1980s, The Floating Post Office is a tender and layered tale of love held back, stories nearly forgotten, and the enduring power of what is left unsaid.
