the Environmental Dimension in Study of Natural Sciences

The Natural Sciences course plays a significant role in the elementary school curriculum and offers extensive opportunities to contribute to the development of students' environmental education. Various authors have addressed the environmental dimension. This ensures the development of a well-rounded personality in students and a responsible environmental consciousness, along with the ability to promote sustainable development and acquire knowledge that enriches school practice. The proposed system of methodological workshops integrates theory with practice, fosters and enriches opportunities for reflection and debate in order to make decisions, develop alternatives, and devise work strategies that enhance the quality of the educational process. It is distinguished by its emphasis on the participants' leading role, the use of participatory techniques, and the use of self-assessment as a mechanism for transformation.
