The Echoes of Landour

Our book, 'The Echoes of Landour: A Resonant Longing, ' revisits the longings of Landour. Mussoorie and Landour, in particular, have witnessed changes that threaten the very essence and existence of the town. The poetry book acknowledges and emphasizes that when the soul of the town is under attack, any change can be detrimental.Mussoorie is not what it was a decade ago. While Mussoorie struggles to meet its needs, the irony lies in the greed of a few. The town is struggling. There's been pain and much more. But there is surely light at the end of the tunnel. We understand that dawn follows the night.The book is divided into two parts: 'The Testimony of Our Times' and 'Longing to Be Named.' The first part takes you on a journey through the changing times of Mussoorie, while the second part brings forth the longings and nostalgia. The poems navigate the constant shift between memory and the present times. Mussoorie today isn't what it is in our memories. There's pain, there are tears, and above all, there's a deep concern, along with an appeal to save our town.
