The Duke Who Noticed Her

Rule one of surviving the London Season: do not attract attention. Rule two: especially not his attention.Lady Eleanor Ashworth has spent three seasons perfecting her disappearing act. She is not beautiful, not witty in company, not her father's most eligible daughter - and she has made her peace with all of it. What she has not made her peace with is a certain French duke who cannot seem to take no for an answer. It was a dare. She knows it was a dare.Lucien de Vauclaire - charming, titled, entirely too handsome for anyone's good - asked her to dance because his friend told him to. He should have walked away the moment she refused. He should certainly have walked away the second time. He's still there. And Eleanor is beginning to suspect that the most dangerous thing in all of England is not the marriage mart, not her father's anxiety, and not even the duke's infamous charm. It is the unsettling possibility that he might actually mean it.Book 1 in the Wallflowers & Scoundrels Series
