The Courier to Paradise

One courier. One spy. One impossible coincidence. Twenty-eight years ago, the colony world of New Exeter was destroyed by the greatest solar storm in recorded history. During the frantic evacuation, infant twin brothers were separated forever. Or so everyone believed. David Haverstock has grown into the Commonwealth's most dependable diplomatic courier-a man trusted to carry secrets because no one ever notices the courier. Across the frontier, Daniel Vanmeer struggles to make ends meet as a commercial pilot until Aurigan Intelligence reveals a shocking truth: David is his identical twin. Their solution is simple. Replace one brother with the other. Steal the Commonwealth's most closely guarded military secrets. It is, on paper, the perfect espionage operation. Unfortunately, Daniel discovers he likes being a spy considerably less than the recruitment brochures suggested. Even more unfortunately, two retired transportation bureaucrats begin asking awkward questions about station regulations, luggage receipts, and improperly posted platform numbers. Soon the greatest intelligence operation in Aurigan history is collapsing beneath a mountain of paperwork, misplaced briefcases, mistaken identities, unexpected romance, and one very determined courier who refuses to let someone else live his life. Inspired by the classic adventure comedies of the 1940s, The Courier to Paradise combines mistaken identity, Cold War intrigue, romance, and gentle humor in a fast-moving science-fiction adventure set in the Anglo-Aurigan universe. If you enjoy clever espionage, classic capers, and heroes who triumph through courage, kindness, and common sense, you'll love The Courier to Paradise.
