Bol The Blank Spaces This Book Brings Into Being explores the productive aspects of Absence, Silence, and Erasure, treating the unmarked portions of a page as a site of articulate, eloquent vacancy. This project traces printed language's negative contours, bringing Background forward and allowing Emptiness its assertions. As these pages unfold, Content meets its discontents and every letter creates its own signature, surrounding void. Along a sentence's event horizon lurks an aura of infinite options, "written" in a kind of alternative ink. Accordingly, a document's gaps, pauses, and line-breaks form a non- semantic, dis-embodied, and un-intended field of ironies.
