The Beak People

Once, the world got very quiet. Schools closed, playgrounds emptied, and kids were given strange cloth masks that puffed in and out when they breathed, masks that looked a little like beaks. So people started calling them the Beak People. The Beak People is a gentle, warm-hearted picture book that captures what it was like to be a child during an unforgettable time, learning through screens, waving through windows, and finding new ways to laugh, play, and stay close to the people they loved. Through simple words and heartfelt illustrations, this story honors the quiet courage, patience, and imagination of a generation of children who lived through history without ever losing their sense of wonder.A tender tribute for the kids who wore the beaks, and a story to help them (and the grown-ups who love them) remember just how brave they really were.
