The Battle Within

What if the greatest battle facing your nation wasn't outside-but within? In The Battle Within, Reuben Lapin delivers a powerful parable that begins in the heart of one broken boy-and echoes across the soul of an entire nation. When Aro, a wounded young man, becomes the host of two powerful spirits-Hatred and Anger-his life spirals into inner chaos. One drains him. The other consumes him. Until a still, small Voice speaks... and he is faced with a choice that will define his future. But Aro is not alone. This is also the story of Papua New Guinea-a young, resource-rich nation fighting an invisible war between silence and rage, corruption and conflict. Through the eyes of prophets, politicians, and everyday people, the parable unfolds across provinces, Parliament, prisons, and pulpits. What begins as a quiet story becomes a national awakening-revealing the deep spiritual struggle behind every injustice, and the Spirit that still speaks beneath the noise. If you're longing for personal healing, national transformation, and the courage to choose your true name, this book will meet you where words often fail-and guide you into the stillness where truth begins."I know your names," Aro says to the spirits, "But I choose my own."
