The Art of Coming Back: A Collins Novel

In the small coastal town of Collins, Maine, second chances have a way of appearing where you least expect them. Bree Brooks has come to Collins for a fresh start. After years of teaching art and putting everyone else first, she's finally doing something for herself-painting a community mural that celebrates the beauty of the town she's slowly learning to call home. Abby Henry wasn't planning on staying anywhere long. A photographer with a growing online following, she's used to documenting other people's stories from a safe distance before moving on to the next adventure. Collins was supposed to be just another stop. But when Abby begins photographing Bree's mural as it comes to life, something unexpected happens. What starts as documentation turns into curiosity... and curiosity turns into connection. Between paint-stained hands, twilight conversations, and the quiet magic of a town that believes in showing up for one another, Bree and Abby discover that sometimes the hardest thing isn't leaving the past behind. It's allowing yourself to come back to the life-and the love-you were meant to have. The Art of Coming Back is a heartfelt sapphic small-town romance about healing, creativity, and finding home in the most unexpected places.
