Welcome to this anthology. The Oldswinford Writers' Group started over ten years ago, with an idea by Michel Henri to establish a weekly meeting every Wednesday from 12 noon till 2 pm in a coffee shop in Oldswinford. Believe it or not, apart from the Covid lockdown, it has continually held these weekly sessions. Writers and enthusiasts have come and gone. Some have emigrated to far off climes. Others have vanished without a trace, and yet a solid crew still meet every Wednesday. The group developed a friendship, chatting and writing, bringing pieces to discuss. It was decided to add writing challenges to the meetings. Sometimes a fifty-word piece, and more recently up to a 400-word count. Themes and words would be chosen and then the group was given a fortnight's gap to produce whatever they felt would work. >The contributors of this anthology are Robert Stanfield, Paul C. Walsh, Lee Benson, Michael Small, Gillian Small, George Marks, Catherine Cowell, H.R.Beasley, Kevin Street, Maggie Wisdom, Michael Harvey, Sally Munro Barton and Michel Henri This anthology is an eclectic mix of poetry, challenges and extracts from some of their published works.
