The Andean Escape

Kathy and Scott are lured back into service by the CIA to travel to South America on a simple assignment to escort the 12-year-old son of the Colombian ambassador to Washington, DC. The abbreviated training they undergo at the CIA facility prior to the mission proves invaluable when the boy is kidnapped by a cartel to use as leverage to force an illegal business deal. After escaping from the kidnapper with the boy, Kathy and Scott flee across southern Colombia searching for an airport that can offer a flight to the U.S. without exposing them to the clutches of the cartel-controlled connecting airports. The trio travel from city to city in an effort to avoid a recapture of young José by cartel gunmen who have been ordered to "get the boy and kill the Americans". During their Andean Escape both Kathy and Scott are forced to actions they never expected nor thought they were capable of doing...events that could haunt them the rest of their lives.
