The Ancient Quest (The Charlee Flynn Adventures Book 4)

Beneath the glittering chaos of Mardi Gras, something ancient is stirring. Charlee Flynn's birthday trip to New Orleans has been five days of beads, brass bands, and indulgent food. Then a decrepit, whiskey-soaked man staggers out of a shadowed alley, begging someone to save his son from a fate worse than death. The locals dismiss him as another drunk haunted by regret. They warn Charlee to steer clear... but she's never been good at ignoring a cry for help. One reckless act of compassion shatters the celebration. Below the streets of the vibrant French Quarter lies a world of forgotten myths, lethal traps, and a vengeance carved in stone. With time running out, and something in the darkness hunting her, Charlee must decide how far she's willing to go to save a stranger's son. Not all legends are lessons. Some are warnings. Some are waiting. THE ANCIENT QUEST is the fourth book in the action-packed Charlee Flynn Adventures by international bestselling author Matt James. What Amazon readers are saying about the Charlee Flynn series: "Reminiscent of a great adventure movie like The Mummy (the Brenden Fraser one obviously) or Indiana Jones."
