She is also a teaching assistant in a primary school and loves reading, singing, and writing in her free time.While raising her children, Alice struggled to find a variety of books that represented different cultures, including her own. She wanted to share her African heritage with her children-stories of her magical childhood and the adventures she had growing up in Uganda.Alice reflects on being raised in a big family with very little to live on but surrounded by love from her parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, neighbours, and church community. This is the story of the experiences that have shaped her into the woman she is today.
