That Girl Is Loca

Solana Reyes has a business plan, a thrifted power suit, and enough confidence to fill a corporate boardroom.Unfortunately, she is still in high school, her company does not legally exist, and nearly everyone in her neighborhood thinks she has lost her mind.Sol has never been easy to categorize. She is too strange for the popular girls, too social for the quiet kids, too ambitious for the adults who believe survival is the same thing as success, and far too loud for anyone hoping she will accept a smaller life. When a prestigious entrepreneurship competition offers Sol a chance to launch her first real company, she is determined to prove that she belongs among the next generation of powerful business leaders. But after her idea is threatened, her friendships begin to collapse, and a humiliating video turns her into the city's newest joke, Sol must decide how much of herself she is willing to change to be taken seriously.Funny, heartfelt, and unapologetically ambitious, That Girl Is Loca is a coming-of-age story about the girls people misunderstand, the dreams families are afraid to believe in, and the kind of crazy it takes to build a future nobody else can see.
