Before he was six years old, Lynn Hobbs was raped by an older cousin. At eleven, he was put in a boxing ring with a boy three times his size. He crawled out of that ring, having decided that no one would ever hurt him again, and he spent nearly thirty years making sure of it. Vietnam. Two marriages. A Nashville album that was never finished. Years of dealing, and finally a judge in Arkansas who found him criminally insane and sentenced him to life. This is the account Lynn wrote of that life, in his own hand, finished in 1997. He does not soften it. He confesses things most men take to the grave, because he believed a testimony that hides the worst of it is worth nothing to the person who needs to hear it. "Mr. Hobbs came to us as criminally insane. His recovery and victorious living since are a testimony to the miraculous work of the Grace of God." - Herb Meppelink, District Director, Teen Challenge of South Texas Lynn Hobbs died in 2014. He left this manuscript to be shared as a testimony of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
