In this sequel to the first book of the Terra Nova series, Evangeline, the half-human/half-vampire, has left the kingdom of Latina in the parallel world of Terra Nova to try to find a cure for the condition that causes vampirism. But when she finally arrives in the hidden village of the remaining humans, the humans of Terra Nova have other plans in store for her. Back on Earth, her brother and her friends try desperately to find a way to reopen the portal between Earth and Terra Nova to help save her, unaware that they risk being killed by the vicious Sadamanta vampires.
