TEACHING OF ENGLISH Methods and Approaches

The intention of writing this study material as a book for the students of B.Ed., degree programme meant for the Educational Colleges of Tamilnadu and other states of India is to help them to become competent and proficient English language teachers of our country. English is being learnt as a second language in our country. It is undeniable fact that English is playing major role in all the fields of our subcontinent starting from education to administration. The students of our subcontinent are facing a lot of problems in learning English when they are in schools and colleges. And they rarely take steps to learn English. But once they complete their programme, they wish to be employed with private or public sectors.Research works in English Language Teaching are numerously coming out to identify the problems of the English language learners.
