Bol Educating citizens for the 21st century, taking into account the changes brought about by technology, is imperative. As a result of the educational product entitled The Bar Model as an Ally in the Use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies in Teaching and Learning Mathematics for 5th Grade, developed in accordance with the line of research in Computer Technologies for Science and Mathematics Education at Cruzeiro do Sul University, this study aims to analyse how digital information and communication technologies (DICT) are integrated into the teaching and learning of mathematics in the early years curriculum in Brazil and Singapore, as well as whether it is possible to adapt any experience from Singapore to the reality of Brazilian education. To this end, we use a qualitative method of an exploratory and descriptive nature, based on data from national and international literature, starting with a systematic review and expanding the contributions on the subject through a search for articles and dissertations in the Capes Periodicals Portal and Google Scholar databases published in the last five years, in addition to official documents to support educational policy data.
