Sugar and Spies: The Pugs Cozy Mysteries Book 2

Retirement in a charming British village was supposed to be a fresh start. Then the spy gear started showing up in the gift shop. Reginald "Reg" Thorne just wants to be a normal retired dad. After a career spent in high-level covert logistics, he's finally settled into the flat above Dr. Sniffles' Pet Surgery with his two faithful pugs, Pudding and Pickles-who, thanks to a special herbal blend, are the only ones who know his secrets. He's traded "dead drops" for "dog walks," but keeping his past hidden from his daughter, Rowan, is proving to be his toughest mission yet.But the peace is shattered when a courier delivery goes spectacularly wrong. Artifacts from Reg's secret life-from high-tech keychains to locked ledgers-begin surfacing as quirky village kitsch at Paws 4 Thought and The Wagging Spoon. Even worse, a skittish greyhound named Trixie is leading a high-speed chase across village lines, threatening to uncover a trail of clues that lead straight back to Reg's front door. With Rowan armed with a nail file and a lot of questions, Reg must launch a desperate village-wide recovery operation. With Pudding and Pickles assisting in the "interrogations," this motley crew has only twelve hours to "liberate" the missing gear and secure the ledger key before Reg's cover is blown for good.If you love quirky talking animals, undercover dads, and fast-paced mysteries where the stakes are high but the dogs are low-riders, jump into the second book of the Pugs Cozy Mysteries!
