Sudden Death Serve: A College Sapphic Tennis Romance

The team needs one doubles point. Jayla Brooks and Lena Vogel can barely stand each other. Jayla has a partial scholarship, cafe shifts after practice, and a serve powerful enough to crack a match open. Lena is an internationally ranked recruit with old money, ruthless hands at the net, and a lifetime of being rewarded for never looking messy. When their university's top pair implodes days before the season opener, Coach Price forces the chaos girl and the ice queen onto the same side of the court. Their first practices are a collision of signals, pride, and class resentment. Their match chemistry is immediate - and lethal. Then donor weekend gives Lena a problem strategy cannot solve: bring a suitable date or let her mother choose one. Jayla agrees to play girlfriend for a brunch. One performance becomes a couple-style photo shoot, a locker-room kiss, a tournament hotel room with one bed, and feelings neither woman can keep outside the lines. But doubles survives on trust. With Jayla's scholarship, Lena's family pressure, the season, and their championship hopes at stake, choosing each other could make them unbeatable - or give the world a new way to break them. Sudden Death Serve is a high-heat, open-door college sapphic sports romance featuring forced doubles partners, fake dating, ice-queen/chaotic-sunshine tension, rich-girl/poor-girl friction, found-family teammates, and a hard-won happy ending.
