Stories that Cook: Art, Memories and Recipes is a bilingual English-Spanish collection of favorite recipes and the stories behind them, gathered from the kitchens of Western New York's vibrant agricultural community. Inspired by an arts program that serves migrant farmworkers, this unique cookbook honors the rich cultural gifts that reside in our agricultural community, from generational farm families to newer farmworkers. Accompanied by beautiful illustrations and artwork created by farmworkers and their families, Stories That Cook hopes to offer a compassionate and creative space to connect with all the people who work to feed us, as well as a resource for local food, stories and history.
